Vandoren V21 Clarinet Reeds - Singles

Feel free to buy one reed, a few reeds, or mix strengths. I don’t charge a premium for breaking up the box.

These are a newer variety Vandoren produces. They are the child of the Rue 56 (which is a bit of a thicker cut of cane), and the V12 (which doesn't taper as much as the Rue 56 toward the butt of the reed). They typically are about 1/2-strength harder than the traditional cut (the "blue box") so take that into consideration.

Feel free to buy single reeds—I don't charge a premium for breaking up a box, so you can just buy a few, or mix and match. Seriously no one else does this.

For those doing math, I price these reeds as one-tenth of a normal box of 10 reeds. But you don't need to buy a box to get this discount!

I ordered 4 vandoren v21 reeds. I only really need 4 at a time, as I am graduated and play on my own time. And a box of 10 for almost $40 was just… a bit much. These reeds are SO nice. Its like they gave me the best ones in a box of 10 lol. Also the packaging was very nice I was glad about that. Definitely worth purchasing reeds this way and I will for now on!

All the single reeds 💃

Though quite a mundane one, receiving a mix-and-match pack of single reeds without the price markup was a thrill! I am looking forward to trying all of the different Vandoren makes I didn't want to splurge on just to sample. Also, packaging was adorable.

I purchased V12, V21, and Rue LePic 56 reeds to compare. The V21s were good but this point I preferred the Rue Lepics. But the weather will change tomorrow and who knows...
