Vandoren V12 Clarinet Reeds - Singles

Vandoren V12 Clarinet Reeds - Singles

Note: These are priced per reed. One of 'em.

Feel free to buy one reed, a few reeds, or mix strengths. I don’t charge a premium for breaking up the box.

The V12 reeds are fantastic. One of the first "line extensions" of the Vandoren product line back in the 90s, they have a thicker tip and longer pallet that results in a richer sound. They typically are about 1/2-strength harder than the traditional cut (the "blue box") so take that into consideration.

These reeds are ideal for advanced clarinet players. It is designed for the advanced clarinetist, and recommended for long-facing mouthpieces such as the 5RV-Lyre and B45.

Feel free to buy single reeds—I don't charge a premium for breaking up a box, so you can just buy a few, or mix and match. Seriously no one else does this.

For those doing math, I price these reeds as one-tenth of a normal box of 10 reeds. But you don't need to buy a box to get this discount!

Vandoren V 12 Bb Clarinet Reeds

So far these Vandoren V12 (3.5) reeds are the best I've tried in terms of consistency. After trying a few singles, I ordered a box of 10 and I'm happy to report that 7 out of 10 of them played with little breaking in and the remaining 3 will likely break in with a little additional playing.

Got a strength 3 reed instead of 3.5

Love the Singles!

I am so grateful that Michael sells all of these reeds as singles. It makes trying out different reed strengths for students so much easier. Earspasm is super easy to deal with. You get exactly what you ordered in a timely manner. Highly recommend.

Love this system

I mostly use V12. They are great. A little more heft than most other reeds. I really appreciate that I can buy singles here. Depending on the season or mouthpiece I vary a bit, so I can get 6 of one strength and 6 a bit harder, for example.

Bass Clarinet V12 Reeds

Offering fewer reeds than a complete box and same prices is ideal for trying out multiple models ad strenghts is a great option. Thanks.

What's not to like?

The ability to buy less than a box of reeds saves a lot of wasted reeds. I like that,

Being able to order reeds in SINGLES is a very helpful service!

Love this company!!

I only started playing the clarinet 7 years ago, so I definitely still feel like a beginner (probably always will! Ha) … and like I need to keep exploring and experimenting in terms of reeds. Earspasm’s unique practice of “selling reeds by the each” is PERFECT for me and very, very much appreciated. :)

If I use size three v21 reeds for my Bb clarinet(I have a B40 mouth piece) should I go down a 1/2 step for the v12?

Mike

Nope, you'll want to try the same strength for V12s as you do for V21s.
