Super-Soft Mouthpiece Cleaning Cloth

Super-Soft Mouthpiece Cleaning Cloth

A word to the wise: don't swab your mouthpiece. Why? If you're too aggressive, over time it will change the characteristics of your mouthpiece. (Microscopic removal of rubber from the inside is the reason).

Instead, just use this reusable cloth. It's SO SOFT, absorbent, washable, and will not damage your mouthpiece when used properly. (Which is to say: just be gentle, okay?) Note, it does not come with an attached pull-string because you don't want to be pulling a rough string through your delicate mouthpiece.

The cloth is 4"x4" (10x10 cm).

Pick up a couple, because they're cheap and awesome!

What can you say about a very soft...

What can you say about a very soft, inexpensive square of cloth designed to help you keep your mouthpiece(s) clean and dry? It works well.

It works great.

Soft but awkward

I like this for my bass clarinet mouthpiece, because I can get my fingers in there and pull the cloth through. But I find it very awkward to use on my Bb mouthpiece. It takes a lot of twisting and pushing and pinching and pulling to get the cloth through the mouthpiece.

A great accessory

Now an easy and effective way to swab out your mouthpiece. I now have one for each of my instruments.

Good idea!

Since we can alter our mouthpieces by running a swab through (NO-NO) this little cloth can help gently take care of excess moisture with no fear of damage. Good idea!

It does what is says.

This makes me want to buy all of the microfiber products earspasm offers. This is completely legit and really does a great job of helping you clean your mouthpiece. Most of the time we spend a lot of money on mouthpieces and they don't get cleaned properly after we play. This help to have in my case to remind me to give it some love.

Not just for mouthpieces!

At this price, get one for your mouthpiece, and another to dry out your clarinet's sockets when you put it away (you wouldn't want to get cork grease/socket grunge in your mouthpiece by using the same one). They do a great job at both.

This is a great mouthpiece cloth. No problems using it in my soprano and bass mouthpieces.

Wonderfully soft cloth. So gentle

Very similar to a lens/glasses cleaning wipe. Worthwhile to get a good rolling method for fitting and pulling it through easily. So soft

Super soft and works great!

This product works great at removing moisture from your mouth piece after practicing. Note: it's hard to get the inner chamber with wide fingers so having a small string like on a swab would be good. But for $2 to keep your mouthpiece looking the way when you bought it, it's well worth it.

This was a great swab until it got stuck in my mouthpiece and I had to cut it apart to get it out....

Already have 2 of these in use. Wonderful product!

Works very well for drying out mouthpieces. I only wished that it had a weighted pull string to be able to feed it through easier.

Super soft. Happy to have something that will clean my mouthpiece without damaging it

I've used other microfibre cloths for my mouthpiece in the past (the kind you use for lenses) and they were never absorbent enough. This one is super soft and also so absorbent that I only have to gently dab my mouthpiece with it to get most of the moisture out. Michael is right, you should get a couple (I did!)
