Pilgerstorfer Profundo Bass Clarinet Reeds - Singles

Originally Pilgerstorfer asked if I'd carry their bass reeds, but I was leery. I'm always leery.

But fortunately they sent me a bunch of samples, which I tried, not expecting much, and you know what? They're really damn good! I find that they are a little lighter than Vandoren Traditional Bass Clarinet reeds, both in strength, and in sound. So I tried more, and found that they were also really consistent. So, I bought a bunch, and here we are. 

If you're reed-curious — and you should be — give these a try. They run a little bit softer than Vandoren Traditional bass reeds, as I mentioned above, but not a complete half-strength. So, if you play a V12 or V12 Vandoren bass reed, try a half strength harder. If you play Traditional Vandoren reeds, try your strength, and then a half strength harder.
