Irish Tune from County Derry (Clarinet Quartet)
Irish Tune from County Derry (Clarinet Quartet)
I wrote this arrangement in a moment of deep sentimentality (my dad would call it “being maudlin”) on Memorial Day, 2020.
For 3 Bb Clarinet and Bass Clarinet, and but for a few altered chords, this is pretty true to the original from Percy Grainger.
The sheet music is for all four parts (and score), and the download comes with two audio fies: one with the complete arrangement recorded, one with the first part left off for you to play.
Please enjoy!

HI Mike, Your arrangement of Irish Tune from County Derry is absolutely beautiful !
The piece is easy to play and there is so much a group can do with it dynamically. Another beautiful addition by Michael.
A superb 4-part arrangement of an iconic piece!
Thanks Michael. This is a lovely romantic arrangement perfectly suited to clarinet quartet.
"Clarinets of San Francisco" just played that in a small concert - it is a lovely arrangement!
Beautifully arranged for clarinet quartet.
Super arrangement Michael!
What a lovely lovely arrangement - plan to play with my friend and his daughters - Thank you so much.
PS Not enough Irish clarinetting out there !
And you're a Prince tragic! Gotta love U!
