Clark Fobes Alto Clarinet/Basset Horn Mouthpiece
Clark Fobes' Alto Clarinet mouthpiece is made from the same German rod rubber as all of his baller 10K series mouthpieces. One of the few Alto mouthpieces on the market that isn't heat-molded, which means it'll hold its shape better, sound better, and last longer.
While made for Alto Clarinet, these fit the larger-bore Basset Horns like the Leblanc, Uebel, and some Buffet models. Basically, if your Basset Horn takes a Bb mouthpiece (some do), then this isn't for you. Of course, if you have a Basset Horn that takes a Bb mouthpiece, you'd know that already.
Anyway, this comes in one facing, the "CF" (wonder what that stands for...) which has a tip opening of 1.60mm and a medium (20mm) length.

Put a long idle bundy alto back into service over a month ago. Replaced the mouthpiece with the Fobes w 1.60 tip opening and low strength synthetic reeds. What used to be a stuffy-sounding, spineless, horn now has new life- pitch flexibility and strong volume. These days Its the first instrument I reach for when entering the practice room. Im waiting today for delivery of a pre owned le blanc alto. Let you know how the mouthpiece works with it.
