Buffet RC Prestige Eb Clarinet - Greenline

The RC Prestige Eb clarinet is probably the most popular Eb clarinet with professional orchestral players. The RC bore has poly-cylindrical sections similar to the R13, but unlike the R13 bore, the RC is mainly conical, especially in the lower section, which gives the RC a different playing feel. Specifically, the sound of the instrument “opens up” more than the R13 — and if you look inside the bell with a measuring device, you may see why: it is scooped toward the top of the bell which continues the flare from the lower joint more aggressively. (Wow, “aggressive” is such an “aggressive” word.)

This particular Eb clarinet is made from Buffet’s Greenline material, which means that it won’t crack from humidity or temperature variations. This is SO critical with an instrument like Eb that might be sitting on its peg for hours on end in rehearsals in a drafty hall. But mind you - while the Greenline material is excellent with climate, it’s not so great when you drop it. So, you know, don’t drop it.

Q: Does the instrument come with a warranty?
A: Yes, it comes with the Buffet warranty against cracks, etc. If you ever have any problem with the instrument, I’m your quarterback. I’ll take care of the whole process, just let me know you need help, and I’ll take it from there.

Q: What happens if it’s damaged during shipping?
A: Inspect the package before you sign off at delivery! If there are any issues resulting from shipping, we have taken out an insurance policy to cover damage (and loss). But we need you to document this damage or we can’t do anything to help. Please read my trial policy for how to handle this issue, should it arise.

Q: If I decide to return it, do also I have to pay return shipping costs?
A: Yes. And you will also want to insure it!

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, but please contact me first for the shipping cost. I will adjust the cost based on your actual address. International shipping costs vary, and range between $300-500 USD. Please note that you will be responsible for any Customs Duties.
