I must be honest, when I first saw this swab, I was a tad skeptical. The "bell" shape, the thin, long string. BUT...!!!... then I used the swab. HOLY MOLEY this thing works like a DREAM. VERY absorbent, as in the most absorbent swab I have ever used. It does not get caught on the register tube/pip in the upper joint. It goes smoothly though the entire length of the instrument. And, it absorbs like CRAZY. When I wipe out the ends, it quickly gets everything in the corners. This is the best swab I have found after 44 years of playing the clarinet. Seriously. I ordered two, and I will be ordering more! Thank you for producing this swab!

I don’t typically write reviews but I felt compelled to tell other clarinetist’s that I feel the Earspasm clarinet swab works great. It picks up the moisture in the sockets that other swabs leave behind. Definitely worth having in my opinion.

Probably really is the world’s clarinet cleaning swab. I’ve tried several, including the one that came with my clarinet (good, but the pull cord - really just a cheap ribbon - frayed too early) and a silk one. The Earspasm swab is the very well made and is just the right size and shape to not get caught inside the clarinet. Highly recommended.

I have not tried every different clarinet swab in the world so I can't honestly say that it is the best but I can say that in my more than 50 years of playing clarinet and having used many different swabs this is the best that I have ever used. Silk, chamois, cotton cloth, whatever it doesn't matter, nothing I have ever used in the past has been as good as this swab.

First, a shout out to Michael Lowenstein aned Earspasm Music. I have been ordering clarinet related products from him for almost a year--from instruments and reeds, to clarinet swabs and other accessories. Michael has been more than gracious with his time and sharing his knowledge. Now about his clarinet swab. Simply the best swab available today. For so many years (yes...over 50), I have been using traditional swabs made by Buffet and Vandoren. They are cotton, large, and and tend to be somewhat absorbent, but spread the water throughout the instrument. In comparison, the Earspasm swab is smaller, made from a more absorbent material, and really remove water and moisture from the bore of the instrument. For me, there is absolutely NO comparison...the Earspasm swab is a winner that should be used by every serious clarinetist...

I'm a student in high school currently playing bass for my band. I've been you the same crappy swab for the past 4 years and it is nasty and does a poor job of cleaning. This swab truly deserves being called the world's best bass clarinet swab. It takes just a few second to clean more horn and it becomes completely dry. I am a player who will play for hours on end and this is a savior for me and my instrument. If you're looking for a swab, this is the one. Thank you!!!

Nice swab, but the fabric holding the weight started ripping after about a month of normal usage. *Update: I realized I was pulling on the weight, which I shouldn't have been doing.

The swab fits well as it moves through the bore, the material is soft, with nothing that could scratch the bore of the horn.

I love the bass clarinet swab, but needed a smaller swab for my neck piece and this is perfect. Great gift for any clarinet or bass clarinet player.

Highly absorbent. Not so much cloth that it jambs in the barrel, pulling the instrument apart (when other swabs get stuck).

The strap was a few inches shorter than stated in the website description. Ok for a Bb or A clarinet, but just a bit too short for my Alto. Fortunately, I already had an older swab from you that was full length so everything's good.
