Uebel Zenit Basset Clarinet Extension - for Zenit A Clarinet

Uebel Zenit Basset Clarinet Extension - for Zenit A Clarinet

Basset Clarinet is what Mozart wrote the Clarinet Concerto (k622) and Quintet for. His original score has the clarinet going down to low C throughout the piece—though many wouldn't know it, since most of us play the version which has all of that stuff deftly taken up the octave. But Anton Stadler's clarinet went that low, and Mozart was boss enough to use those notes.

Now, this thing makes the clarinet heavy, as you can probably imagine. I recommend a neck strap or some other kind of support (I wonder sometimes whether they could make a peg for it—it could certainly benefit from one, but it wouldn't be as cool looking I suppose.)

It comes in its own case—a reinforced leather tube, actually—and can be carried in a bag along with your double case.

All earspasm instruments come with a 7-day trial. Please read my trial policy before pulling out that credit card.
