Selmer Muse Eb Clarinet

The Selmer Muse Eb clarinet is basically the Selmer Recital Eb clarinet that went on a diet. It’s the same bore, but with less wood. (If you don’t know the Selmer Recital Eb, it is what we, in our family, called “The Log” - it was as thick as a Bb clarinet!) And, with the change in design, Selmer made several acoustical and intonation improvements over the Recital as well.

The Muse is the newest line of clarinets to come out of Selmer, having been launched in 2022. The Muse Eb is even more recent, and is intended to replace the Recital in Selmer’s product line. (You may still see a Selmer Recital Eb around for a little while as Selmer reduces their stock.)

Anyway, the Muse Eb has a HUUUUGE sound, never strident and squeaky — just a full, beautiful sound. And, for those with larger hands like me, the key design is ergonomically easier for me to play. Katherine has small hands, and she says it’s awesome, too.

Q: Does the instrument come with a warranty?
A: Yes, it comes with the enhanced Selmer warranty against cracks, etc. If you ever have any problem with the instrument, I’m your quarterback. I’ll take care of the whole process, just let me know you need help, and I’ll take it from there.

Q: What happens if it’s damaged during shipping?
A: Inspect the package before you sign off at delivery! If there are any issues resulting from shipping, we have taken out an insurance policy to cover damage (and loss). But we need you to document this damage or we can’t do anything to help. Please read my trial policy for how to handle this issue, should it arise.

Q: If I decide to return it, do also I have to pay return shipping costs?
A: Yes. And you will also want to insure it!

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, but please contact me first for the shipping cost. I will adjust the cost based on your actual address. International shipping costs vary, and range between $300-500 USD. Please note that you will be responsible for any Customs Duties.
