Vandoren Neoprene Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece Pouch
Vandoren Neoprene Bass Clarinet Mouthpiece Pouch
Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference — and this mouthpiece pouch has saved my bacon more times than I can count.
Why? Because "WHERE THE HELL IS MY MOUTHPIECE CAP??" is a frequent utterance from my mouth. But this little pouch is always dutifully sitting in my case, ready to accept a mouthpiece, cap or no cap. (I usually find my cap, mind you, so I think of this as insurance.
Plus, it's nice and padded, so as the mouthpiece is traveling around in my case, bouncing around with my screwdrivers, peg, cork grease, and various other crap, it's protected from getting dinged.
Aaaaaand, as an added bonus, when it's zipped up, it actually reduces the sulfur fumes that every hard rubber mouthpiece emits. Who cares? I care, because sulfur is a silver-tarnishing agent. And I like my silver keys to be, you know, silver.
So, let's review: mouthpiece = protected from getting mangled by a random screwdriver. silver keys = protected from nasty sulfur fumes. Sanity = protected from not having to stress about where my mouthpiece cap is, if I just don't have time to deal with that crap.
Is it weird to love a stupid accessory as much as I love this? Perhaps, but don't judge. Because when you get one, you will fall in love, too, and I won't judge — or say "I told you so." Pinky-promise.
