These are another newer variety Vandoren produces. The 56 Rue Lepic clarinet reed is designed from thicker cane, and has a taper from tip to heel. They typically are about 1/2-strength harder than the traditional cut (the "blue box") so take that into consideration.
FWIW, they are my current go-to reed for my Vandoren B45• mouthpiece.

For those doing math, I price these reeds as one-tenth of a normal box 10 reeds. But you don't need to buy a box to get this discount!

It is wonderful that Earspasm will let people buy single reeds. I purchased a few of each type of Vandoren Reed to compare them all. I couldn't find another company that would let me purchase singles without an upcharge.
Being able to buy single reeds is a game changer so that I can pick and choose a variety as I test different kinds and strengths as I get back into playing
I purchased these as I currently play on v12s but a 3 is too soft and a 3.5 is too hard. I was told these run somewhat in-between so I thought I'd give them a try. I am still in the process of adjusting these but I think I like them, they seem to run (as expected) about a quarter to an eighth size softer than the v12s. Shipping was fast, and ordering individual reeds is great. Love this site!
