Vandoren V21 E-Flat Clarinet Reeds - Singles
Vandoren V21 E-Flat Clarinet Reeds - Singles
Note: These are priced per reed. One of 'em. (Not a box. Though you're welcome to buy 10 of them, and I may just throw in the box for free)
Note #2: These are Eb Clarinet Reeds! (In other words, don't buy them by accident thinking they're Bb Clarinet reeds!)
These are a newer variety Vandoren produces. They are the child of the Rue 56 (which is a bit of a thicker cut of cane), and the V12 (which doesn't taper as much as the Rue 56 toward the butt of the reed). They typically are about 1/2-strength harder than the traditional cut (the "blue box") so take that into consideration.
These reeds are ideal for advanced clarinet players.
Feel free to buy single reeds—I don't charge a premium for breaking up a box, so you can just buy a few, or mix and match. Seriously no one else does this.
For those doing math, I price these reeds as one-tenth of a normal box of 10 reeds. But you don't need to buy a box to get this discount!

Picking up my E flat Clarinet after a few years and a new mouthpiece, I was not sure which reeds would work the best. This is the only store I have seen, which will let me try several of different types of reeds without having to buy an entire box!Wonderful customer service!
Love the singles...I just got an Eb which I've never played before (but I play almost all the other clarinets). I need to figure out my reed/lig situation, and the singles are definitely helpful!
Exactly what I ordered came. I play 56 Rue Lepic's for Bb and I find that the tapered heel reed cut works well for me when I'm doubling (bass/Eb clar, saxes). Videos on the site have taught me how to make them last, so it'll be a while, but when I'm shopping again, this will be my first stop.
Service and price were great. However the Forestone reeds I've been using are superior.
