Charles C. I'm surprised you didn't ask about the Vandoren synthetic reed I got a couple of days ago. So far I'm impressed with it. It's a little firmer than I expected, but I am adjusting. I like that it doesn't have soft spots in it where notes don't play well. I experienced that on my Legere European cut reeds.
