Juno reeds are specifically made for beginner clarinetists. Grown on the Mediterranean coast at the same location many other Vandoren varieties are, the difference is in the reed's cut — Vandoren cuts them so that they're extra responsive for students, so you can improve faster.
Feel free to buy single reeds—I don't charge a premium for breaking up a box, so you can just buy a few, or mix and match. Seriously no one else does this.
For those doing math, I price these reeds as one-tenth of a normal box of 10 reeds. But you don't need to buy a box to get this discount!

(Or at least, my 6-going-on-7 years of clarinet playing life ;). Ok, so the Juno reeds are described as being “for students” - which seems to automatically imply “young kids.” But no matter how old you are when you start on the clarinet, you are A Student, a beginner, and deserve a reed that makes producing a great sound right out of the wrapper, without a fancy break in period. And that’s what these reeds provide: a bright, great sound, right from the get-go. After struggling with many varieties of “grown up reeds” - ha! - I feel like I’m totally cheating using these. So I’m keeping on with the other Vandorens, but on days when my embouchure is tired… or if I’m in a performance situation and suddenly all my other reeds are failing me… these are my secret weapon that I know will come through for me (“Juno to the rescue!” :). I am soooo glad I was able to try a few from Earspasm in order to discover how wonderful they are!!!
My shopping experience was wonderful! My order was filled quickly and efficiently. As for the Juno reeds, I am glad I only got a few versus a whole box. They are nice but not what I am used to. I am grateful we can rely on earspasm to be able to sample single reeds of different brands and strengths.
